Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Haiku Invitational

On the theme of "connections". Llimit of 2 haiku. Winners published in various places, including newspapers and the Haiku Canada newsletter, printed in a chapbook hand folded and bound by Leaf Press and on the VCBF website. Top poems will receive celebrity readings and be featured in creative ways during the 2016 festival.

Tokutomi Memorial Haiku Contest

Cash prizes totalling $US175 for haiku in 5-7-5 pattern. Each haiku must use one kigo (season word) from the contest list. Haiku with more than 1 listed kigo, or that do not use a listed kigo will be disqualified.

Deadline: May 31, 2015.

Cost: $US7/page of 3 haiku.

NZPS Haiku Junior Contest

The top five haiku/senryu will be awarded $50 each; first place will also receive the Jeanette Stace Memorial Prize of $NZ100 open only to entrants who are 17 years of age or younger on May 31, 2015. Schools may send bulk entries, but poems must be clearly attributed to authors. Winners will be published in the NZPS annual anthology, plus selected others.

Deadline: In hand May 31, 2015.

NZPS Haiku Contest

The top five haiku/senryu will be awarded $NZ100 each; first place will also receive the Jeanette Stace Memorial Prize of $NZ150. Winners will be published in the NZPS annual anthology, plus selected others. Haiku will be free to be submitted elsewhere on September 1, 2015.

The 17th APOKALIPSA Haiku Contest

Deadline: March 15, 2015.

Number of entries: up to 6 original haiku which have not been published or are not considered for publication elsewhere.

Topic and form of haiku: traditional or non-traditional on any topic, free or formal style.
Send four (4) copies of each haiku, or group of haiku, in English, signed by a cipher, along with a separate sheet in another envelope with your cipher, name, age, profession, address, phone number and email address to:
